The Stockyards Museum first opened in 1989 and is home to pictures and artifacts that celebrate the history of the last standing stockyard in the United States. The Stockyards Museum is a respected resource for writers and historians and is toured by thousands of guests each year. The museum is located in the 1903 Livestock Exchange building which is part of one of the most popular tourist destinations in Texas, the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District.
